Being born in Brazil, with family roots in Italy & Germany, and married a Japanese woman (and living in Japan for fifteen years), I feel very comfortable when socializing with people from different backgrounds. Besides Portuguese, I can understand English and Spanish easily and also intermediate Japanese language.

I have a M.Sc. degree in Electronics Instrumentation (after graduating in Electrical and Electronics Engineering), reasonable working experience in a lot of different places in Brazil and Japan as well as some flexibility in working and getting along with people from completely different cultures.

My preferred field of work is around electronics engineering (instrumentation & measurement, semiconductors, industrial automation, robotics, etc) and software development (design, programming, and testing).

My favorite hobbies are:

– enjoying soccer (I am a passionate supporter and representative of Sport Club Internacional, FIFA World Club Champion in 2006, in Japan),

– listening to music (Pink Floyd, Rush, Tom Petty & Heartbreakers, etc – this list is infinite :-),

– reading (newspapers, technical and scientific magazines, comics ;-),

– watching movies (“2001, A Space Odyssey” is, definitely, my favorite film),

– studying (anything that can broaden my knowledge),

– electronics (experimenting with hardware and software),

surfing the Internet,

– taking photographs,

– playing with and teaching kids and,

– writing (otherwise I wouldn’t have a blog 😉
